AQA GCSE Modern Texts: Drama Revision

The AQA English Literature GCSE consists of two written papers. Paper 1 (40% of the GCSE grade) has a one hour and 45 minute time-limit and assesses students' knowledge of 19th century and Shakespearean literature. Paper 2 (60%) has two hour and 15 minute time-limit and focuses on modern texts (prose or drama), a poetry cluster from the AQA anthology (either War & Conflict or Love & Relationships) and unseen poetry. Both exams are closed-book which means that students will need to learn quotations as they will not be allowed to refer to set texts in the exam.

EdPlace’s GCSE exam-style questions and practice papers help your child hone their exam-technique and prepare them for anything the exam may throw at them.
