Read the beginning of the biography below:

In a quaint village in the heart of England, there lived a talented and kind-hearted toymaker named Clara Everwood. She was acknowledged far and wide as the creator of the most enchanting toys in the universe. Clara's journey began with a heart full of dreams and hands that could bring imagination to life. Soon, her toys would capture the hearts of children all over the United Kingdom.

Find a word from the passage meaning the same as considerate.

Did you spot kind-hearted here?

When a question asks you to find and copy a word, you must only write one word!

Kind-hearted counts as only one word as the hyphen is joining the two words together.

Look at the sentence below:

She was acknowledged far and wide as the creator of the most enchanting toys in the universe.

Can you think of a phrase which could replace the phrase acknowledged far and wide in this sentence so that it has the same meaning?

There are many possibilities here but how about known across the country.

She was known across the country as the creator of the most enchanting toys in the universe.

In this activity, you’ll continue to read this biography and answer questions about the meaning of words. Use clues in the sentences to help you work out their meanings.
