When we explore the topic of electricity and electrical circuits, we learn about conductors and insulators.
This activity is all about insulators.
Insulators are materials that don't allow electricity to flow through them easily.
They are like the 'no entry' signs for electricity, blocking its path and keeping us safe.
Materials such as rubber, plastic and glass are great insulators because they have tightly packed particles that don't let electricity pass through easily.
When we wrap wires with insulating material or use them to make covers for electrical devices, we are making sure that the electricity stays where it is supposed to be and doesn't cause any accidents.
In this activity, we will be learning more about insulators.
